Grades

Hello Students,

Grading will be as follows:

Daily Warm Up - Attendance - 10 pts. weekly

Weekly Classwork - 50 pts. weekly

Weekly Homework - 40 pts. weekly

Total Weekly - 100 points

Quizzes and Tests will remain the same 100 pts. each

All assignments, warm ups, classwork, homework, quizzes, and test will be posted on the home screen in Canvas.

Math Update 3/23/2020 - Course Syllabus

Good Afternoon Students,

I hope you and your families are all well, I have missed you all greatly.

I am super excited to bring you the online version of our class! There will be plenty of opportunities for interacting with me and each other as we navigate through our course!

In the upcoming weeks we will be communicating through Canvas email and/or Microsoft teams. This way I only need to check a couple of places for your questions and be able to respond in an appropriate amount of time.

Online Classes to begin on Monday March 30, 2020

Office Hours To Reach Me Starting Monday 3/30/2020 -

Mondays, Wednesdays, & Fridays - 9 am to 12 pm

Tuesdays & Thursdays - 1 pm to 4 pm

My expectations for you are:

1. You log into Canvas every day, yes, we will still take attendance and report it daily.

2. You follow the weekly agenda on the Home page in Canvas and complete assignments by the due date. There is no excuse for late or missing work.

3. Use your time wisely and do not fall behind! You have a lot of freedom now and you need to be more organized than ever!

4. Do the warm up daily so I can take attendance.

I have uploaded module 16 to canvas and we will be working from those pages for classwork and homework as well as the online textbook. You will find the work in the appropriate section in Canvas, for example, classwork will be under the title classwork and homework will be under the title homework.

Online Book - MyHRW (through clever.com) for classwork, videos, and extra practice.

The daily work will be on Canvas and will instruct you whether the assignment is on CANVAS, MyHRW (video or extra practice problems) or Khan Academy.

We will still be using Khan Academy. The assignments that were due 3/13 were moved to 4/3/2020, these will be for fourth quarter grades. Khan Academy will be used as weekly homework grades.
